Laminate Floor Dent Repair

Repairing small nicks in laminate wood floors is generally a simple diy process if you use a laminate wood flooring repair kit.

Fold a piece of damp cotton cloth four times and place it over the dent. Then lift out the damaged board and replace it with a new one. Next squeeze a dollop of laminate repair paste onto a scrap piece of flooring or a mixing board and mix it with a putty knife until it begins to dry. Kit includes putty color tints spatula brush mixing bowl and lacquer. First use a sample of your laminate flooring if you have one to find a touch up or repair kit in a matching color. Clean the flooring with the solvent and let it dry.

Carefully pry away baseboards and molding from the wall and pry thresholds up from any doorways with a pry bar. Then press a shallow layer into the chip. Place a drop of water into the dent. Clean off any excess with solvent.
