Use the outer spring pliers to expand the spring clamp and remove it from the door boot.

Lg recommends cleaning out the drain pump filter of any lost items and lint buildup on a monthly basis. After all the remaining water is drained from the drain hose place a hand towel beneath the drain filter on the right side. Release the rubber door boot from the lip around the opening to the washer tub on the front panel. Remove the 7 screws from the top of the front panel.

Locate the access panel in the lower front of your front load washer. If your lg front loader has an oe error and won t drain check this before ordering a new pump it may be a free 5 minute fix. Open the washer door. Remove the pump and set it aside.

Remove the drain filter. Open and remove the acces panel by pulling the tab downward and out revealing the drain hose and drain pump filter. Pull the pump toward the rear of the machine an inch or so until it is free. Slide the small front drain hose backward through the hole it is sticking through.

Make sure the unit is empty turned off and drained of any visible water in the tub. Remove the plastic pump housing.
